Sika ViscoBond Adhesion booster and admixture for mortars and concrete Sika ViscoBond from Sika.
Sika ViscoBond GR is a concentrated liquid admixture, designed for use as an adhesion enhancer to cementitious mortars in indoor or outdoor applications.
It is also designed for use in mortar and concrete as a mass sealant, fluidizer, while offering increasing tensile and flexural strengths.

Features

Composition: Aqueous dispersion of butadiene-styrene and modified polycarboxylic polymers

Density ~ 1,0 g/cm3 (at +23°C) pH value 5,5 ± 1

Recommended dosage: in all cases (see Mortar mixture) mix the dry ingredients together and then add the solution of Sika ViscoBond GR with water in the desired amount, until a homogeneous mixture of desired workability is obtained.

Consumption: Sika ViscoBond GR covers a wide range of applications.

Its consumption depends on parameters such as:
- The type and quantity of cement.
- The characteristics of aggregates.
- The intended use of the mixture.

Approximate consumption:

- As a reinforcing adhesion layer: 0.10 – 0.16 lt / m 2 / mm layer thickness (until a mixture of desired consistency is obtained).

- As mortar admixture: 0.3 – 0.6 lt/ 10 lt mortar (Different dilution ratios can be determined after conducting preliminary tests).

- As concrete admixture: up to 10%25 w/w cement (suitability tests should be carried out before application).
