SikaScreed -1 is a 1-component, ready-to-mix fast-maturing floor laying mortar that matures without shrinkage

It is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications

Application

Mixing: SikaScreed -1 is ready to use
Add water for mixing
Mixing can take place in a regular concrete mixer, in a Turbosol screw mixer or in a continuous mixing mixer of PFT or Continental type
The amount of water to be added must be dosed with the aim of obtaining a plastic, working mixture
Too little water (wet consistency) will significantly reduce the mechanical strength of the finished mortar
On the other hand, too much water (fluid mixture) will increase shrinkage (drying contraction), so that tiles cannot be laid after 24 hours of application
Mixing should be completed within 2 minutes
Do not allow the mixer to rotate containing mixed material
Use: Around the space, compressible tape should be applied, as well as perimeter columns, in order to form isolation joints
The product should be applied like a conventional cementitious floor laying mortar, in strips and then spread with a spatula
The laying of the mortar is done as in a conventional cementitious floor laying mortar
Spread the mixture, emphasizing the compaction of the surface, aimed at obtaining a homogeneous layer
Surface finishing should be carried out immediately after laying the product or within a maximum of 60 minutes
When carrying out this procedure, the surface of the mortar can be sprayed with water from a brush, so that the work is easier and faster, especially in the case of finishing with a metal disc
Removal of fresh debris from tools and application equipment can be carried out using water
Hardened material can only be removed mechanically
