Hardening paints: Hardener anodising mortar is a ready-to-use product for colouring and hardening concrete floors
It is applied over freshly mixed wet concrete in both industrial, commercial and residential areas
It consists of a specially formulated mixture of silica, powdered alkaline inorganic pigments and other secret patented materials that improve the properties of the treated concrete surface
The hardening agent increases colour intensity and durability and helps to avoid the costs of further colouring
Application - Instructions, Preparation
Surrounding surfaces and structures should be protected as much as possible from the pollution generated by the product
Preparation of Cement Coating.
The substrate should be prepared to conform to all good concrete pouring practices and local laws
Coloring Procedures: Before mixing the paint on the prepared surfaces, empty half the contents of a bag into a clean, dry container and aerate the paint before applying it to the surface
Apply it evenly by the seeding method. Take care when applying more than 3,5 kg/m 2 or in windy conditions
All personnel must wear a dust mask
Due to the fact that the product contains Portland-type cement there should be some water on the cement surface before applying the paint
Excessive smearing may darken the paint
Two applications are usually required for even coverage. 75% of the paint should be used in the first application
To apply the paint you should follow standard concrete finishing practices
The second application of the remaining 25% will be in the opposite direction of the first application and will complete the painting process
Advantages
The hardening paints ensure: Coloured surfaces, more uniform and with more intense colour
Higher density, surface that is easy to clean and resistant to the permeability of lubricants, etc.
Floor surface with increased durability and improved wear resistance
Durable surface with greater resistance to corrosion, cooling, ice scaling and flaking created by antifreeze salts
Anechoic alkaline coloured concrete screed floors
Recommended for: The coloring and curing of moderate to heavy and overused concrete mortar floors
Surfaces where a more uniform and more attractive color is needed to improve the appearance of the floor
Not recommended: Where extremely heavy use such as the circulation of wheeled vehicles with steel wheels is anticipated. Areas exposed to acids and their salts
In the case of acids and alkaline and alkaline solutions, or in the presence of acids and alkaline solutions: For dark colours 3,0 kg and for light colours 3,5 kg under normal conditions
Colour - Packaging: SUN GRAY in a 25 kg bag
