- The product contains a specially formulated release agent that creates a moisture barrier between the moulds and the wet concrete, facilitating the release of the moulds
- It is a dry material that is applied directly over the hardener paint prior to marking
- Contains pigments, except for the transparent one which leaves no trace
- Exclusively for use on concrete
Application - Preparation
- The entire surrounding area must be protected from the dust pollution generated by the dispersion method
- Preparation of the concrete coating: this is the last step before marking the concrete and must be applied on top of the hardener paint and only after mixing is complete
- Spreading procedure: before mixing, pour half of the contents into a dry container and aerate the material to decompress before applying it to the surface
- Before applying the product to the surface, dry the product until it is completely dry and allow it to dry before dispersing it.
- Take particular care when it is windy
- The use of a mask is necessary to avoid inhalation of the dust
- Two coats are usually required for uniform coverage
Advantages
- Coloured or clear release agent is imperative to use over freshly levelled coloured concrete because it creates the necessary barrier that prevents suction from a finished product and therefore further reduces the need for retouching
- By using the coloured release agent we achieve an aged appearance
- There are various colour combinations, which give the impression of two colour tones and emphasise the lighter parts
- The darker colour, applied on top of the hardener colour, enters the cavities of the voids filled with liquid mortar as well as the deeper layers
Finish
- By high-pressure washing with water and only after the concrete has dried, you can achieve the removal of the excess coloured release agent
- Be careful not to rinse it completely
- Washing the voids filled with grout and the deeper pits with quicker strokes than for the light-coloured sections will allow the darker colour of the release agent to remain
Coverage of one square metre: about 0,125-0,150 kg is enough depending on the conditions, i.e. depending on whether it is windy
