Sika MonoTop -910 S is a 1-component, silica fume cementitious mortar, modified with polymers, for use as an adhesion bridge and corrosion protection for steel reinforcement

Application

Mixing: Sika MonoTop -910 S can be mixed with an electric mixer at low speed
Application: As an adhesion bridge: thoroughly wet the prepared surface, 2 hours before application is recommended. Keep it wet and do not allow it to dry. Before application, remove excess water, e.g. with a clean sponge
The surface should have a dark matt appearance, without shine, and pores and craters should be free of water
Using a clean brush, roller or suitable spraying equipment, apply a first coat, covering the substrate with a thin film, filling pores, gaps and smoothing the surface
As corrosion protection. When the first coat has hardened sufficiently (on the nail), apply a second coat of approximately 1 mm thickness. In the case of spray application, protect the substrate from spraying and droplets by wiping off localised concentrations

Wait until the layer is fully cured before applying the repair mortar
Curing method: As corrosion protection - protect fresh mortar directly from premature drying and contaminants, using an appropriate curing method
Removal of fresh residues from application tools and equipment can be carried out using water
Hardened and/or cured material can only be removed mechanically
Mixing ratio For brush application: ~0,84 lt of water (21%) per 4 kg of powder
For spray application: ~0,8 lt water (20%25) per 4 kg powder
Layer thickness As an adhesion bridge - it is sufficient to coat the concrete surface with a thin film, which covers unevenness, pores and cavities.
As corrosion protection - minimum layer thickness 2 mm
